Act Now: Nominations for the City of Vancouver Mayor’s Arts Awards Close May 18

Gordon Smith, Meeru Dhalwala, Dana Claxton, Emily Molnar, Betsy Warland: These local talents are just some of the stars who won a Mayor’s Arts Award last year.

Who else should join this list? If you know an outstanding artist, group or supporter of Vancouver arts and culture, nominate this worthy person or organization before May 18.

The City of Vancouver Mayor’s Arts Awards recognize established and emerging artists from a diversity of communities that make up our creative sector. These artists represent a wide array of disciplines—from literary and culinary, to visual and performing arts. Five unique awards also recognize contributions to our arts community that reflect the rich diversity of our city.

In all, a total of 26 awards are presented through the Mayor’s Arts Awards, with cash awards given to artist recipients.
