To honour David's memory, the Class of 1962 has donated funds to establish an award in his name at Kitsilano High School. Each year, the graduating senior who shows the most promise in any of the performing arts will receive a cheque of at least $500 and have his or her name engraved on the plaque that will hang in a place of honour in the school.
