The City of Richmond has issued a Call to Artists / Request for Qualifications, for their 2012 Artist Roster. The Artist Roster seeks artists wishing to be considered for projects in Richmond’s Community Public Art Program. This program matches artists with community groups to develop public art projects created through a collaborative process.

Alma Lee Among Writers Trust Award Recipients

At a ceremony in Toronto’s Isabel Bader Theatre tonight, Vancouver’s Alma Lee, founding director of the Vancouver International Writers and Readers Festival, was presented with the Writers’ Trust Award for Distinguished Contribution, awarded to an individual or organization for long-standing involvement with the Writers’ Trust and the Canadian literary community.

Previous winners include John Macfarlane, Graeme Gibson, and Pierre Berton.
