Artist Salon with Edward Fu-Chen Juan

The following is excerpted from the Richmond Art Gallery (RAG).

Artist Edward Fu-Chen Juan will share his artistic journey from working as a successful commercial illustrator and paper and textile designer, into the realm of fine art printmaking at artist residencies, community art projects, gallery exhibitions, and public artworks.  Whether you work as a commercial or fine artist, keeping on top of all the administrative work of your art business is essential.  Edward will share strategies and advice on how to stay organized in order to better take advantage of any creative opportunities that may come your way.

This edition of the Artist Salon will be an online live-streamed event with time for Q&A with participants.

The session is free, but registration is required.

About the Presenter: Edward Fu-Chen Juan 阮福辰
Edward Fu-Chen Juan is a visual artist based in Vancouver, BC, the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.  He identifies as a queer Taiwanese Canadian with ethnic roots from the Hakka and the Plains First Nation People of Taiwan.  His focus is to cultivate a connection between traditional techniques and contemporary values, with the objective to advocate for more ecologically sustainable practice.
