Last chance to register for Speaker Series: Strategies for re-engaging and reconnecting in the arts

The following is excerpted from Business/Arts.

In recent months, arts organizations have begun inviting audiences back to relive the magic of live performances, in-person programming and exhibitions at full capacity. And while there has been an upswing in attendance, many culture-goers have yet to return. In the next edition of the Speaker Series, we will turn our attention to those who remain reluctant to return to the arts, and consider meaningful strategies for engaging these audiences.

At the top of the session, Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist and Founder of Nanos Research will be sharing the latest findings of the Arts Response Tracking Survey (ARTS). This edition of ARTS will provide insight into top motivators for returning to the arts, as well as obstacles to participation and key data on shifting comfort levels.

The session will also feature a response panel with arts leaders from across the country, who will share their recent experiences with the shift back to live programming and strategies for inclusive and meaningful public engagement.

Speakers will include:

  • Brenda Lieberman, Festival Director, Co-Founder and Lead Programmer, Calgary Underground Film Festival & Lead Programmer, Calgary International Film Festival

  • Melissa Lee, Director of Education and Public Programs, Vancouver Art Gallery

  • Nadine Villasin Feldman, Director of Programming, Myseum of Toronto

  • Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist and Founder, Nanos Research
