City of Richmond Seeks Writer-in-Residence

The City of Richmond is inviting professional, and community-engaged writers to submit their Expression of Interest for a part-time residency, located in the heart of Richmond’s downtown core.

The City seeking proposals from writers interested in developing and facilitating workshops, lead public conversations and host readings and events. The Writer-in-Residence will also provide advice and mentorship opportunities to emerging writers from diverse populations. Writers who are passionate about working with diverse communities are especially encouraged to apply.

The aim of the program is to foster a greater appreciation for Canadian writers and creative writing, through innovative public programs that will engage readers and writers across generations and cultures.

The City of Richmond is currently accepting applications for the 2019 residency; however, strong applicants may also be considered for the 2020 program.
