As we look forward to Unrestricted, our joint conference with the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance, we're excited to share with you some of the great minds in arts, culture, heritage and beyond who will be contributing to our discussions June 13-14 in Vancouver.

On day one (June 13), attendees can look forward to a panel on meaningful cross-sectoral collaborations with participants including Creative BC CEO Prem Gill, Neworld Theatre artistic director and 2017 Siminovitch Prize winner Marcus Youssef, and Hanna Cho, producer at digital storytelling company NGX Interactive. On the heels of Minister Joly's declaration today that arts and culture organizations must commit to harassment-free workplaces to remain eligible for federal funding, the first day will also explore workplace scenarios that challenge our understanding of what constitutes harassment, aided by experts like arts manager Jeanne LeSage, lawyer Martha Rans of Pacific Legal Education and Outreach, and human rights attorney Clea Parfitt.

On day two (June 14), the programming will include a panel on social purpose real estate led by Jacquie Gijssen, founding member of the Social Purpose Real Estate Collaborative (SPRE), which seeks to assist non-profits and social enterprise organizations with their real estate needs. We'll also take a look at building decentralized, cross-sectorial networks in a conversation with Pacific Theatre associate manager Andrea Loewen, ArtStarts executive director Navida Nuraney, and Nina Jane Patel of Mascall Dance.

This programming is just a taste of the 20+ sessions on offer at the two-day conference, which also features leaders like performing artist and Order of Canada recipient Margo Kane, stage professional Susan Miyagishima, pow wow dance instructor Shyama-Priya, president of Nudge Consulting Sue Biely and more.

Stay tuned in the weeks to come as we reveal more information about opportunities you can expect at Unrestricted.
