Lindy Sisson Steps Down As Executive and Artistic Director of The ACT Arts Centre

The following information is excerpted from a press release issued by The ACT Arts Centre

Lindy Sisson will be leaving as executive and artistic director of The ACT Arts Centre in July. She will be pursuing an opportunity as the interim general manager at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo.The process of looking for Sisson's replacement will begin immediately.

"I speak for the entire board of directors when I say that while it is a difficult to see Lindy go, we wish her nothing but the very best,” says The ACT Arts Centre board president Korleen Carreras.

“I very much enjoyed my time as the executive and artistic director for the ACT Arts Centre and the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council," said Sisson. "This position has been a terrific challenge and a very rewarding experience that stretched my capabilities and allowed me to excel in areas of facility and personnel management, along with community arts development and event planning.”

Sisson added: “I’d like to thank the ACT patrons for their trust in my programming and all the ACT team and partners for their support over the years.”
