This Key Event Calendar, compiled by your Alliance for Arts and Culture, lists upcoming events in Vancouver through 2012. The list is designed to be a helpful guide to event planners, who will find the roster helpful in avoiding scheduling conflicts.

The list includes major cultural dates, opening nights, festivals, gala fundraisers and significant MetroVancouver community events and activities.

Non-profit cultural organizations can run into legal challenges as a result of systems and practises in place that are not aligned with legislated policy or regulations. Sometimes it is challenging to know when legal advice is needed or what type of legal guidance is required to properly address an issue. This workshop aims to provide foundational knowledge and capacity to identify, plan for, and respond to legal issues that can arise in the management of a non-profit organization.

Webinar: Highlights of Findings from The Value of Presenting Study

Britannia Community Services Centre is interested in collaborating with five registered non-profit Vancouver based cultural or recreation organizations who may be interested in a short term sub-lease of space in the East Vancouver Commercial Drive area (Commercial and Venables). The lease period will begin January 2013 and run for approximately 12 - 18 months. The space consists of an approximately 5,500 square foot banquet and dance hall with a serving kitchen and is suitable for program, performance, or rehearsal space.
