Four Artist Groups Selected for Vancouver Park Board Artist Studio Residencies
/Over 20 artists have been selected to participate in the latest round of Vancouver Park Board artist studio residencies.
Four new artist groups will be provided with free studio space in parks and other facilities to develop their work, engage the community and increase participation in the arts.
As part of the residencies, artist groups will offer community arts-based engagement at Aberthau Mansion and West Point Grey Community Centre, Moberly Park, and Queen Elizabeth Park.
Groups selected are the Loco Moto Art Collective (Aberthau Mansion and West Point Grey Community Centre (North Studio), the Sassafras Project (Aberthau Mansion and West Point Grey Community Centre (South Studio), the Re-Invent Project (Moberly Park), and the Bird Project (Queen Elizabeth Park).
Their projects will build on the momentum of the nine existing projects that started in 2012. The program runs through 2015.
