North Van Arts is a grassroots, social-profit, charitable cultural organization dedicated to maximizing the intrinsic value of the arts in all media. Our mandate is to enable emerging and professional artists in all disciplines, to bridge cultures, and to build strong and healthy communities through the arts.

Volunteers are an integral part of the success of the outstanding work of North Van Arts. They dramatically increase the capacity and effectiveness of the organization and all our programs, projects, exhibitions, and events. Volunteering with North Van Arts in any capacity assists in enriching the overall quality of life in this community where we live, work, and play.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
Are you a professional photographer looking to build out your portfolio?

North Van Arts is seeking a volunteer photographer(s) to capture our events, exhibition openings, and programs throughout the year. The volunteer photographer would be asked to volunteer their time approximately 2–6 hours per month on select evenings and weekends to line up with our programming.

All shifts will be located on the North Shore (North Vancouver or West Vancouver), and a minimum of 1 month's notice will be given for shift availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Professionally photographing North Van Arts events and programs
• Uploading, editing, and cataloguing images
• Collecting media release forms for subjects

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Photography experience
• Outgoing and interpersonal
• Flexible availability
• Access to professional DSLR camera an asset
