The Jessies Nominations Party

The Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards Society will be announcing the nominees for the upcoming theatre awards honouring Vancouver’s vibrant artistic community at the 2013 Nominations Party on Tuesday, May 21 at the Improv Centre, 1502 Duranleau Street on Granville Island. The doors open at 4:00 p.m. and the announcement of the nominees will be at 4:30 p.m. sharp, followed by a reception.

The Jessies began in 1983 and takes its name from Jessie Richardson, one of Vancouver’s theatre pioneers.  The awards acknowledge bodies of work in the Large Theatre, Small Theatre and Theatre for Young Audiences, all whose work has contributed to make Vancouver a vibrant city. 

The 31st Annual Ceremony will again be held at the Commodore Ballroom, 868 Granville Street, on Monday, June 24, 2013. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., ceremony at 6:45 p.m.. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.  Vancouver TheatreSports will again produce the award evening, providing fun and a celebratory evening honoring the amazing talented theatre community.
