There is only a short time left to submit your book for the 2014 BC Book Prizes!

Here is what you need to know:

Ballet BC's executive director Branislav Henselmann will be participating on the Vancouver-China Business Mission 2013 with Mayor Gregor Robertson and the Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC) from November 4-12, 2013.

The commission will visit Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong with the goal of attracting investment to Vancouver, promoting deeper cultural ties and building long-term strategic partnerships with one of Canada’s most important trading partners.

The North Vancouver Public Art Advisory Committee (NVPAAC) is currently accepting applications for volunteer service on the 2014 Committee. 

ArtsBC has issued a call for presentations for its 2014 conference, May 2-4, on Bowen Island.

Norman Armour, artistic and executive director of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, received Vancouver's highest civic award in a ceremony at City Hall this week. 

The Civic Merit Award recognizes individuals for outstanding achivement in a particular field of endeavour – in sports, science, arts or culture – within the city and the province, or in recognition of a specific service.
