JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Coordinator is responsible for online communications. The Digital Communications Coordinator provides support to the marketing and communications department and acts as an advocate of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival Society to arts and culture professionals, various stakeholders, and the community at large.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Work in collaboration with the communications department staff to execute an integrated marketing, sales, and communication strategy, with objectives and timelines, that includes an audience development program and ticket sales initiatives.
● Execute the PuSh Festival’s online content strategy, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager, other staff, and external partners.
● Create online content, including blog posts, email marketing campaigns, fan engagement campaigns, and social media posts.
● Ideate, create, and publish engaging digital content (including original copy, images, video, reels, and digital ads) on a daily basis that builds meaningful audience connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with the PuSh brand.
● Strategize and collaborate with the marketing and programming teams to develop high-impact social media campaigns and content calendars.
● Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and trends, creating high-quality, on-trend content that resonates with audiences (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
● Monitor and analyze social media metrics across all digital channels on an ongoing basis, contributing to digital reports to generate data-driven insights for future campaigns.
● Identify and respond to relevant online news and social dialogue in the arts and culture community.
● Champion online communities by engaging PuSh’s social media following, building key relationships with community partners, sharing user-generated content, and supporting cross-promotional efforts.
● Build show pages and upload website content, in consultation with the Communications Manager, other staff, and web developers.
● Work in collaboration with the PuSh team to execute outreach to community organizations and partners.
● Provide excellent customer service to PuSh supporters and patrons.
● Represent and participate in PuSh International Performing Arts Festival Society activities, including Festival events, meetings, and other necessary activities.
● Support the marketing team with the distribution of print materials such as posters, rack cards, and other supporting promotional collateral.
● Support the efforts of the Society and other personnel as necessary.
● Other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate’s Experience:
● Minimum of 3 years of social media marketing experience
● Proven experience with high-impact social media content creation and management (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn)
● Exceptional copywriting skills across all digital channels, including direct email and targeted messaging for various audiences and segments
● Self-starter who values collaboration and excels at working independently while managing multiple projects concurrently
● Excellent knowledge and skills in photography, video production, and editing
● Working knowledge and experience with applications to support social media management and analytics (Meta Business Suite)

Considered an asset:
● Experience in recording and editing audio and video
● Experience with content creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, CapCut, and Canva, and experience with scheduling software
● Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or Dotdigital
● Experience with customer relationship database software such as Spektrix and Theatre Manager
● Experience and interest in deploying AI tools to support workflow
