Our rentals are located on the ground floor at our offices at 100-938 Howe Street, a short walk from the Canada Line, Expo Line Skytrain and Granville Street buses. Please note that our offices have no designated parking; street parking is available on Howe Street and nearby.

BOARDROOM FEATURES

  • 28.5’ x 20’ x 8’ high

  • Multi-purpose room seats 10-20 people conference-style

  • 24 rolling, nesting armchairs and 50 folding chairs

  • 12 rolling, nesting tables (24” x 72”)

  • Wireless internet connection

  • Projection screen

  • Flip-chart easels (no paper or pens provided)

  • Small fridge

  • Fans

  • Rolling coat rack

The lobby, boardroom, and washrooms are wheelchair-accessible. Kitchen access is also available, but is not wheelchair-accessible. The boardrooms have no windows.


AVAILABILITY

Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis by phone, email or in person. Space may be booked up to three months in advance

The boardroom is available all day, seven days a week, including statutory holidays. Usage restrictions may be applied to bookings during office hours. (The boardroom is not available over the Christmas holiday.)

Alliance staffers are not always present during rental hours. Renters are responsible for opening and closing the facility, as well as for the security and cleanliness of the space.

Bookings are not considered final and confirmed until payment is received.

USAGE

Boardroom usage must comply with the BC Alliance’s lease. Special Occasion Licensing and proof of your event insurance are required if alcohol is being served.

Rates

A minimum two-hour booking period applies to all room rentals. All rental fees are subject to GST.

BC Alliance Members

  • $15/hour for rentals where no fee is charged to participants

  • $25/hour for activities for which a fee has been charged (e.g. workshops and seminars)

Non-Members

  • $35/hour (regardless of type of activity)

PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • Cash (in person only)

  • Cheque: made payable to BC Alliance for Arts + Culture

  • VISA, MasterCard, or American Express

CANCELLATION POLICY

14 days notice is required for any cancellations, otherwise full contract rental fees will be charged.

A/V RENTALS

The following audio-visual equipment can be rented as part of your boardroom booking for an added fee of $25:

  • Computer data projector (with adaptors for both PC and Mac)

A/V Rental Guidelines

Equipment must be requested in advance on the Boardroom Rental Agreement. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that equipment brought in (laptop, etc.) is compatible with our equipment and hook-up capabilities.
